PLEASE NOTE: We don't charge a call out fee to come to your home/office. However, if we diagnose your computer problem and you decide you don't want us to repair your computer or it only requires a simple part to be ordered by you, then we will charge a mimimum diagnosis fee to cover our time, advice and travel.

Contacted GY Computing regarding an issue with my laptops card reader. After then arranging a mutually convenient appointment Gregor attended and proceeded to professionally assess the problem which turned out to be software based, he then ran the relevant diagnostics and subsequently proceeded to fix the card reading issue and also tidy up and optimise the functionality of the laptop itself which was long overdue and much appreciated. It was a refreshing change to deal with an IT Specialist who not only knew what he was talking about (without using lots of jargon!) but actually took the time to resolve other issues he'd found (without also suddenly increasing the fee!). My computer would not 'turn-on' this morning. I rang Greg at about 10am and he came to my house at 2.30pm. He talked through everything he was doing and was very friendly and honest with he commentary. Everything was described as "This is the difficult bit"! But he sorted the problem. It was a very reasonable 'fixed price' and his work is guaranteed for six months. It is now 4pm and everything is working perfectly again. An excellent service and I would certainly use him again. Excellent, first-class service.I had an old mechanical hard drive that has not worked for years. But as I'm moving home, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try to recover the data.Gregor contacted me (on the weekend) shortly after I sent him a message through his site and he arranged to attend to have a look at the drive. He spent approx. 2 hours trying to work on it, and eventually we decided he would take the drive with him to spend more time on it.Gregor has had the drive for the past week and has given me daily updates on progress. The drive was wrecked, but Gregor still managed to recover many of my priority items from it - photographs from past family holidays and photos from when my son was younger. Gregor spent lots of time and effort trying to recover the data, yet when it came to charging he charged me his set rate. Found Gregor on the internet when my OLD laptop died. Gregor called out straight from holiday, identified the problem, ordered a VERY reasonably priced replacement part, returned and my laptop has a new lease of life. Excellent service, Gregor is very knowledgeable in his field and was able to explain to me exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. I had my PC upgraded as the SSD wasn't big enough and he installed a new one efficiently and effectively. We had a few problems because I wanted to stick with Windows 8 but due to his knowledge he was able to work around them easily for me. Would thoroughly recommend and should I have any issues with my PC in the future he is the one I'll go to. Plus a home visit is far easier than taking a computer into store especially if you have a custom built PC like mine. He is also very friendly and professional! 5 stars.read more

Great experience. Gregor came out and helped me resolve a problem with my laptop computer. It was running very slow. Gregor identified a few programs that would help and installed new antivirus for me as a scan had picked up a few items. Great service. A fantastic and efficient service. My computer was displaying a strange message and constantly crashing. Gregor worked out my Dell Laptop required new memory. Just bought refurbished HP ELITE book from GY Computing. Great Service! I had a major issue with my computer not turning on and needed it fixed as soon as, as I had an important deadline due in a few days, I looked up in google and found GY Computing and read the good reviews so decided to contact Gregor, he came to my house first thing in the morning the next day and he managed to identify the problem very quickly, which ended up being a fried motherboard. He went out of his way to go and buy a new one that same day and got my computer up and running for the next day. Fantastic Service from Gregor. The temperature of my CPU has been around 65-85 degrees for as long as I can remember and as a result my fan was really noisy. Gregor took his time to take apart my custom laptop to determine the source of the heat which was caused by quite a few things. Gregor took this is in stride and was not phase when he noticed a few potential issues but instead focused on finding a pragmatic solution - which he did. My CPU is now running at 32 degrees and my laptop is quiet! Also worth noting that Gregor has a fantastic manner and made the whole process easy. Highly recommended!read more
